| The Kings Crossing Mound
Site- A late Coles Creek Settlement in Warren County, Mississippi,
USA circa 1000 a.d. The site is the "phase type site", meaning that
the artifacts found at the site describe a subsection of the Coles
Creek chronology. The settlement was the political and religious
center of the area. It has 3 mounds, one quit large at 125' squared
and was approximately 25' high. This digital illustration took about
60 hours to complete and was the basis for a mural in Vicksburg,
Mississippi, 1 mile south of the actual site. |
